Gaudi's church in Barcelona, to be completed in 2016
I'm lucky enough to live a stones throw away from Barcelona, one of my favourite cities in the world. Last week I finally managed to get inside Gaudi's church, La Sagrada Familia. It's astonishing, truly. These pphotos don't do it justice at all but I visited in late November in the late afernoon sun which streaming through the stained glass windows illuniated the walls and the few late season visitors in the most deep and vibrant colours.
I even ventured up one of the towers, wasted on me really as I quite literally clung to the floor and was soon escorted swiftly back down in the lift before panic set in. I did manage to take this though, bit lame after my trip up the Burj Al Arab earlier this year, another trip that was wasted on me too for the same reasons....!
